Today is Sunday March 9, 2008 11:00 AM a review of the coalregion.com website found a new posting from a person in Shenandoah upset with the fact that I encouraged folks visiting coalregion.com to post long and interesting stories about whatever they wanted to discuss and I advised them to expect negative feet back from others no matter what they write about. Still waiting for the good people of Minersville and Pottsville to post at coalregion.com because the website is currently controlled by a few people that present the wrong side of the Coal Region

Today is Thursday March 13, 2008 6:31 PM a review of the coalregion.com website found only two minor postings from a Mrs Catman but the tone is acceptable considering how unfriendly a number of the site visitors have become. The price of gasoline approach $3.50 a gallon and the extended cold weather has everyone in the coal region on edge. I appreciate the remarks of Les M and Mike T, hope they can visit Ashland and get some food.

All is fine in the coal region Spring is starting to show up. Raking leaves and picking up of branches was the Beury's Grove keeper's duties. Elvis set the record start in Pennsylvania. Mt. Pleasant and the 901 pub are areas that should be considered for the Whocareshalloffame(.com)...if funding purchasing the old fire station would be the ideal location.

"Mr. Wherewithal" appears to be someone I should know maybe he will be smart and give me a clue. As far as the bible lessons they got a passing grade...Good News Club...Craig and Danny Smith where are you when I need to know more about the bible.

Today I was advised that at least one person (Ann at the Lighthouse Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach) believes the tough economy will last TWO YEARS! I hope the 420 point up turn in the stock market helps somehow. The Federal Government has been printing money and if this does not help...the only thing we can do is to Pray! At this point it is highly likely either John McCain or Hillary will be President...unfortunately the Rich people in AZ will not appreciate how difficult it will be to go to work and have to pay $4.00 a gallon for gasoline. So as soon as the next President is in office we need to protest the gasoline price if it is over $3.50 a gallon...we should demand that the large unground salt mine oil storage tank (S. Reserve) be drained to the bottom as quickly as possible. This will cause the price of world oil to drop. Also we all need to car poll and get the price back under $3.00 a gallon. If the price goes below $3.00 a gallon there will not be a DEPRESSION...if it goes above $4.00 a gallon there will definitely be a LONG DEPRESSION AND THE REPUBLICANS WILL GET THE HISTORICAL CREDIT....FOR THE DEPRESSION...THE WAR COUPLED WITH A PRESIDENT THAT FORGOT TO REMEMBER THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED HIM.

With gas prices heading to four dollars a gallon and the economy in freefall, I don't know whether it's all that important to vote tomorrow but I suppose it can't hurt;

Yes, it is important to vote; More important than ever; Please people start voting for the person and not for the party; Too many vote for the person that belongs to their party and not considering what the candidate stands for; We must get the jokers out of office; I hope and pray for the sake of our country that voters never again put a Clinton or Bush in office;

Linda: The towns you mentioned plus Ashland and points West (North of the Mountain) get very minimal (and that's being polite) coverage from the Pottsville Fishwrapper ever since they bought out the Evening Herald a number of years ago; Major events might get some coverage and sports events get screwed big time; Hazleton newspaper does passable job of covering Northern Schook; Good luck with your school project;
